I was the shorter, plumper girl. I'd been about 190, 200, most of my adult life. And I just didn't know where I fit in. I just thought I was destined to be the big girl. I never imagined that I could be 125 pounds.

I have three children. My oldest is going to be 13. My second is 10. There's forty-nine grandchildren or something, and all are boys. So I never guessed I'd have a daughter. And then I'm looking at this little girl and I'm thinking, I don't want you to have to go through what I had.

So I was really trying to watch what I ate. I've always worked out, and still been a big girl. So about six months, eight months after she was born, I decided I needed to do something now, I needed to take charge, and kind of lead my family by example. My husband was close to getting diabetes. And with him eating-well, he lost close to twenty pounds without even trying.

So I asked my husband for Herbal Magic for Christmas. He went in. The counselors were a little surprised and worried of what a gift of weight loss would bring, but he knew I wanted it, and I knew that I needed to change.

I originally went in to only be 160 pounds. I was just trying to do laundry. Really, that's-it was 26 stairs to put in a load of laundry. I had to take a break halfway in-between just to catch my breath. And I have three kids. I do a lot of laundry. I was 31 years old, and I thought, I got a long life ahead of me if I can't do this now.

So I met my goal, ten weeks ahead of schedule. And feeling empowered, I decided to drop even lower. I never imagined that I would be 125 pounds, and go from a size 18 to a size 2.

I loved to play ball, and for the first time in my life, I'm actually useful, at a ballgame, instead of just a big stationary person, that maybe if the ball comes within this range, I might get it. I was wearing-I'd always wore XX kind of jersey. And then I went down to medium. And then the medium was too big, that it's coming down here.

So I'm wearing a rockin' outfit, and I'm making a play, and the guy stops, beans it in the face 'cause he says, "Look at your body. You're rockin' hard." And that was the first time I had ever gotten a compliment like that in my whole life.
